

Andrew Lowe is currently working towards a Bachelor of Industrial Design with a Minor in Technology, Society and Environmental Studies at Carleton University in Ottawa, ON. He specializes in computer-aided design, manufacturing technologies, model making, and graphics. He has also taken courses in ergonomics, marketing, psychology and perception. As part of his minor, Andrew has gained valuable insight into innovation, technology and work, techno-societal interactions and sustainability. His design work so far has focused on minimalism, with an emphasis on materials and distinct lack of decoration. Based on his computer skills, he was asked to work as a Teaching Assistant for an introductory industrial design computer class. As well as his studies, Andrew is helping a team of engineers create a human powered vehicle for entry into NASA’s annual Great Moon Buggy Race in April 2009.
